I paused as I was caught in your stare
looking into me with a piercing glare
your lips exclaim a gentle kiss to mine
shock waves shooting down my spine
I paused as you held me as tight as you could
our bodies entangled, just as they should
your fingers on my skin
your heart on your sleeve
I paused as you told me
you were going to leave
