play me

As nimble as I can,
across my fingers scan,
the sound beneath my imprints flow,
through my bones and through my toes.

I stand in the middle sea and see the waves of sounds that shape the sand beneath my feet.

The rhythmic beat of the push and pull,
the curls and curves and currents,
the tempo inside me build,
a crescendo approaches.

I burst into a billion colours,
many without a name,
my skin prickles in awe.
